Malvasia

WHITE WINE

Malvazija Istarska, the trademark of the house to which we pay the most attention. It is created by combining three Malvasias from different types of soil and location. These are the well-known positions of northwestern Istria since ancient times, starting from the southern hills around Buje, surrounding Brtonigla and going down to the red soil of the Umaška coast. The white soil gives us softness and harmony, the red soil gives the wine intensity and strength as the character of the winegrower who cultivates it, while the black soil gives the wine fullness and structure. Therefore, on the one hand, our malvasia is adorned with fruity scents with an emphasis on white flowers and citrus flowers, while at the same time it has a delicate and harmonious taste rich in minerals. It is ideally combined with fish dishes, seafood and various pastas.

Bastina

WHITE WINE

It is a more complex and aged wine with the potential for many years of storage. Wine that is also obtained from grapes of the Malvasia variety by selecting the healthiest bunches. In order for the grapes to give the wine all its complexity, this wine underwent an extended maceration of 5 days with frequent aeration without any use of sulfur. The wine obtained in this way was stored in large wooden barrels where it developed for at least a year on its own yeasts into the wine that is offered to you at the table today. It is a wine with a complex aroma reminiscent of dry stone fruits and spices, while the dry taste gently cleanses the palate and calls for another glass. Therefore, this wine is ideally combined with dishes such as pasta with truffles, long stewed chicken shugo, various cheeses and the like.

Spekula

MUSCAT

Another pearl of the Istrian assortment - muscat. This white muscat develops a special aroma because it is nurtured on red soil. By our decision, this muscat is assembled with 1% teran, which gives it that beautiful purple color and additional freshness that makes it special. On the nose, there are notes of fresh basil, which is given by that red earth. A semi-sweet wine where the rest of the grape sugar is not overheated, giving the wine additional softness, while on the other hand, it gives it a touch of freshness. RED WINE

Our basic red wine is obtained from grapes from the best location in the vicinity of Umag, Bosco grande or in translation "Big Forest". The wine is characterized by a beautiful ruby red color with purple tones when swirling in the glass, it is clear and partly dense. The typicality of the variety is a feature of this wine, namely spicy and fruity aromas such as aronia and pepper, which already on the nose give a hint of freshness in the mouth. The wine is tannic with velvety tannins and has a full body. The wine has a good balance, the intensity of the taste is pronounced, and the taste is long-lasting. For it, the grapes are carefully selected, the ideal ripeness is waited for, and after vinification, it is aged for several years, partly in wooden barrels, partly in bottles. With this wine we recommend grilled red meat with the addition of rosemary, dry aged steaks and other types of aged steaks with pepper and olive oil and soft cheeses.

Boscolo

RED WINE

Why the name Boscolo? Boscolo is called a game that implies work, socializing and events in the forest near the vineyard. It represents our first cuvee composed of Istrian Teran and French Merlot. French Merot, which has been grown in our areas for many years, has been proven to give excellent results. The wine is characterized by a beautiful ruby red color, while on the nose it gives notes of forest fruits such as blackberry and blackcurrant. It is precisely this aging that gives the wine its characteristic brioche smell, small and fine bubbles and a taste of balanced freshness. The sparkling wine is extra brut (without sugar), so it is very interesting for connoisseurs of sparkling wine. It is ideally combined with raw shellfish, raw shrimp, and can also be served as an aperitif.
